I am living in the East side for the past 20 years with my husband and four children and I have been associated with Medina Academy since its establishment. All of my children attended Medina Academy; my oldest child, who was a Medina Academy 2nd batch student, is now studying at the University of Washington.
Raised in Bangalore, India, I attended Bangalore University to pursue a Physics and Biology degree and an advanced diploma in Computer Science. My career in teaching started as a Computer Science teacher in India, until I moved to Washington. As a Medina Academy parent, supplemental science teacher, Science and Robotics club founder, and PTO board treasurer, I have witnessed the school flourish throughout the years, instilling Islamic values in the hearts of its students. Besides working with Medina Academy, I was also the lead science teacher at Evergreen Quran School and the Principal of ACE Academy through which I gained experience creating and implementing syllabi and teaching styles based on students' needs.
I am excited to continue working with the school in my new position as the middle school science and social studies teacher. I believe that every student is different and has a lot of potential for success if they are provided with the opportunities. As an educator, I want to recognize the hidden talents of each and every student and motivate them to reach their goals. I am very privileged to be a part of this great school.
