Message from the Medina Academy Board
Assalaamu alaykum Medina Academy families,
Ramadaan Mubarak, may Allah accept all your good deeds during this blessed month.
This year we are looking to arrange an in person annual dinner and fundraiser in May, insha’Allah.
However, we realize that many people give out their zakat during Ramadaan, and we do have a need for zakat funds for our financial aid students.
Our financial aid program is a very important aspect of our school as we have on average 40-50 kids who take advantage of the program. Our financial aid students form a vibrant part of our school.
The program allows access to the school for families from various backgrounds and is essential to Medina Academy being a community school.
It increases the diversity in our school and provides for a better educational experience for all students.
We have a goal of raising $150,000 for our zakat budget this year. This is an important part of keeping our operational costs inline.
Although we plan to talk about our building plans and activities during the annual dinner, if you are planning to make your sadaqah jariyah contributions during Ramadaan, you are also welcome to donate to our building fund as well.
You may use any one of the methods mentioned below to make your tax-deductible donations to Medina Academy.
If you are paying zakat, please indicate this in the notes section.
Jazakumullahu khairan wassalaamu alaykum,
