My educational philosophy is "There are two lasting gifts that we must give children; one is roots and the other is wings." I am passionate about Islamic schools. I have been an educator in Islamic schools for almost 20 years. I have an M.A. in Organizational Leadership and a B.A. in Business Administration/Communications. I am Montessori-certified for Lower Elementary and Early Childhood. I am very involved in the larger education community, in my role as an adult education consultant and presenter, I frequently present at educational conferences and at the University of Washington on Muslim-American Families, Understanding Immigrant Muslim Families, and Families of Children with Diverse & Special Needs. Originally from Malaysia, my family and I are very adventurous in nature and we love to experience different cultures through our travels. I am blessed to be a member of the Medina Academy educative community since 2010.

Registration & Finance Manager
Ibtesam Amireh
Born and raised in Amman, Jordan, I joined Medina in 2011. I come from a big family which highly values education. I received my bachelor degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Jordan, and completed my CPA in 2009 after taking few years off of work to raise my children. I worked in the software industry as a software test engineer, then decided to go back to my original interest, which is accounting and finance. When I am not managing Medina Academy’s finances, I spend time with my wonderful husband and our three children. I enjoy traveling, cooking, and long walks on the beach.

I have been raised in the Greater Seattle Area for most of my life and have been a part of the Medina Academy community for years in various capacities; as a daughter, sibling, and volunteer. I am looking forward to adding office manager to that list! My educational background is in psychology and human rights. In my free time I enjoy reading, exploring local coffee shops, and watching true crime stories.
